кто перстень твой магический украл и оборвал златые косы?
кто растерзал ту радость, что покоилась в глазах твоих зеленых?
кто изуродовал твое лицо ножом
и пролил кислоту соляную на губы твои яркие?
кто воды моря заразил, пролив на берега кисельные и ненависть и злобу?
вот мы идём... к прощению взываем и горько сознаемся,
что это мы, сплоченные порядком племенным, открыли по тебе огонь,
убив ту женщину, что назвалась свободой...

مَنْ باعَ أسواركِ المشغولةَ بالياقوتْ؟
من صادَ خاتمكِ السّحريَّ،
وقصَّ ضفائركِ الذهبيّهْ؟
من ذبحَ الفرحَ النائمَ في عينيكِ الخضرواينْ؟
من شطبَ وجهكِ بالسّكّين،
وألقى ماءَ النارِ على شفتيكِ الرائعتينْ؟
من سمّمَ ماءَ البحرِ، ورشَّ الحقدَ على الشطآنِ الورديّهْ؟
ها نحنُ أتينا.. معتذرينَ.. ومعترفينْ
أنّا أطلقنا النارَ عليكِ بروحٍ قبليّهْ..
فقتلنا امرأة.. كانت تُدعى (الحريّهْ)...
