الصين ، حيث تعاليم كونفيوشس لا تزال مهمة . هل سبق وسمعت من يقول " لا تفعل بالآخرين ما لا تريد أن يفعلوا بك؟ إذا سمعت ذلك ، فإنك تعرف ، على الأقل ، قولاً واحداً من تعاليم كونفيوشس ، " فيلسوف الصين الحكيم الذي علم أتباعه كيف يعيشون حياة أخلاقية جيدة ".

ساعد كونفيوشس في تشكيل الحضارة الصينية . وقد عاش حياة هادئة . ولم يقم باكتشافات عظيمة بل علم الناس احترام الأفكار القديمة ، ذات السلوك الجيد . وأنشأ معايرا لا زال الإعجاب بها قائماً حتى اليوم .

الطالـــب والمعلـــم

ولد كونفيوشس في لو ، ولاية في شمال شرق الصين . حوالي 551 ق.م. ومات أبوه وهو بعمر ثلاث سنوات . وترعرع فقيراً جداً . ومع هذا حصل كونفيوشس على تعليم جيد . وقد تزوج بعمر مبكر ، وعمل كعامل كي يعيل زوجته وأطفاله . ثم شرع يعمل كمعلم بوظيفته الجديدة عام 527 ق. م.

نصيحــة قديمـــة

وجد كونفيوشس حكومة الصين فاسدة بلا قوانين . لهذا أراد الإصلاح . لقد درس كتابات قدماء حكماء الصين (ذوي العقول الراجحة) وعلمها لطلبته ، قائلاً : " بأن الناس يجب أن يكونوا حنونين ، وصادقين ، ومؤدبين ، وحكماء ومطيعين . كـما يجب عليهم احترام والديهم ، وتكريم أجدادهم . على أن يكونوا مواطنين صالحين ."

كما شجع كونفيوشس الحكام بأن يكونوا مثلاً أعلى في التصرف الجيد . وأعتقد بأن الناس سوف يقلدوا حكامهم . عندها سوف يعيش كل شخص بسلام ويصبح الشعب الصيني غنياً وسعيداً .

وحوالي عام 501 ق. م. أصبح كونفيوشس قاضياً وفيما أصبح في العام الذي تلاه موظفاً حكومياً مسئولا عن القانون والنظام في موطن ولايته ، لو . وأعطاه هذا المنصب الفرصة كي يشرع القوانين مبنية على تعاليمه . لقد كانت قوانين ناجحة . في تلك الولاية اختفت الجريمة تقريباً . إلا أن الخصوم الغيورين تأمـروا ضده ، مما تسببوا في طرده من منصبه في 496 ق. م. وأمضى كونفيوشس 12 عاما تاليا كمعلم ، نال على أثره شهرة عظيمة واحتراماً . وفي عام 484 ق.م. أحيل على المعاش في لو ، حيث قضى بعد خمس سنوات . أن كونفيوشس لم يدون تعاليمه ، غير أن طلابه تذكروها ودونوها في سي شو (أربع مجلدات) التي درسها العلماء الصينيون للأعوام 2.400 التالية . ولا تزال ترشد المجتمعات الصينية.

Confucius

Confucius helped shape Chinese civilization. He lived a quiet life and made no great discoveries. But by teaching people to respect old ideas of good behavior, he set standards that are still admired today.

STUDENT AND TEACHER

Confucius was born in Lu, a state in northeast China, about 551 bc. His father died when he was three years old, and he grew up very poor. Even so, Confucius got a good education. He married young, and worked as a laborer to support his wife and children. Then in 527 bc, he began a new career as a teacher.

ANCIENT ADVICE

Confucius found the government of China corrupt and lawless. He wanted reform. Confucius studied the writings of ancient Chinese sages (wise men), and he taught their ideas to his students. He said that people should be kind, honest, polite, wise, and obedient. They should respect their parents and honor their ancestors. They should be good citizens.

Confucius also encouraged rulers to set an example of good behavior. He believed that people would copy the rulers. Everyone would then live peacefully, and the Chinese people would be rich and happy. About 501 bc, Confucius was made a judge. The next year, he became the government official in charge of law and order in his home state of Lu. This gave him the chance to make laws based on his own teachings. They were very successful! In his state, crime almost disappeared. But jealous rivals plotted against him, and he was dismissed in 496 bc. Confucius spent the next 12 years as a teacher. He won great fame and respect. In 484 bc, he retired to Lu, where he died about 5 years later. Confucius never wrote down his teachings. But his students remembered them and wrote them down in the SiShu (Four Books). These books were studied by Chinese scholars for the next 2,400 years, and they still guide many Chinese communities.
