أغشى دروبه
تصنع الإفطار لي أمي الحبيبة

كنت .... والآن تولاني الضجر
والأسى في خاطري نار تلظى وشرر....
أين أهلي ..... أين أخواني الصغار ........
واحد منهم . رآه الفجر مقتولا على أنقاض دار ..
وأخ ثان .. رآه الليل في أشداق نار .......
ثالث الاخوة طار ......
رابع الاخوة أخفاه الغبار
خامس بل عاشر ......
بل ألف طفل .... شربوا كأس الدمار ....

أنا لا أذكر بدأ الحادثة
أنا لا أذكر من أين أتتنا الكارثة ....

كل ما أذكره أنا سهرنا ضاحكين
لم يكدر صفونا إلا صياح الجائعين
كانت الشاشة تستعرض آلاف الضحايا النازحين ....
ساد صمت حين شاهدنا المآسي وبقينا واجمين .....
لحظه مرت من الحزن نسيناها وقمنا ضاحكين ...
وكأنا ما رأينا نظرات البائسين ....
وسمعنا بعدها أغنية تحمل زيف المدعين ...
ثم نمنا هادئين .......
