بحث باللغة الفرنسية عن (( العنــف )

La violence est un terme général employé pour décrire un comportement agressif, non amical, non pacifiste, belligérant, ennemi, autrement dit une contrainte imposée, qui provoque la douleur, la peine.

La violence peut être légitimée. La légitime défense, quand la victime de violence se défend par la violence, ou encore lorsqu'une armée en guerre provoque des morts violentes sous la responsabilité d'un État, dans le cadre des traités internationaux de guerre.

Elle peut être non légitimée comme la violence gratuite, qui est un acte motivé par des causes psychiques internes au belligérant et, juridiquement recevables pour une éventuelle grâce; auquel cas un traitement psychiatrique du violent devient nécessaire. Non légitimée encore quand l'acteur de la violence agit sciemment avec préméditation afin de commettre un délit : vol, kidnapping; auquel cas un traitement juridique et social du violent devient nécessaire.

La question de la violence, et en particulier de l'homicide, du viol et de la torture, est si récurrente dans l'histoire humaine que les religions ont été amenées à se prononcer à son sujet.

parfois pour la prohiber (« tu ne tueras point » dans les Les Dix Commandements),
parfois pour l'instrumentaliser (sacrifices humains)
parfois enfin pour la codifier dans des cas formels bien définis : guerre (dont la légitimité ne semble contestée par aucune religion (sauf les Quakers), peine de mort éventuelle, etc.
Elles ont émis parfois aussi des positions sur le suicide
